Spreadsheets Across the Curriculum

February 7 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Learn how spreadsheets can be used in almost every class and grade level. Spreadsheets are a great tool for teaching students analysis of information, sorting and grouping, event mapping, statistics and more. Not sure you if you really need to be bothered with spreadsheets? Just take a look at the top three levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy– Creating, Evaluating and Analyzing and you will quickly see that Spreadsheets are probably one of the most powerful tech tools for students to become proficient in these skills. Not sold yet? Think about those Logical-Mathematical & Visual-Spatial Learners in your classes. They may struggle with the usual Verbal-Linguistic instruction, but watch them flourish when they get to use spreadsheets.
