Problem Based Learning Design Workshop

December 12 @ 8:00 am - December 14 @ 4:00 pm

Provided by the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN)-Akron Hub, this 3-day institute is designed to provide workshop attendees with an introduction to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) based on the model developed at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) and adopted by the National Inventors Hall of Fame® School … Center for STEM Learning.

Participants will discover how to:

  • Connect your district’s teaching standards through a self-designed PBL
  • Design a PBL unit considering the needs and interests of their learners for classroom use
  • Understand what it means to be a learning coach in the PBL process
  • Explore how PBL strategies increase collaboration, creativity and critical thinking

All grades and content areas welcome.
