Computer Science Administrator and School Counselors workshops coming this fall

Join us on for a Computer Science Administrator and School Counselors workshop this fall. Learn more about what Computer Science is, why it matters, and how to bring quality educational resources like #OHTeacherCon to your school.

Computer science opens more doors for students than any other discipline in today’s world. Learning even the basics will help students in virtually any career—from architecture to zoology. Just as we teach students how to dissect a frog, or how electricity works, it’s important for every 21st century student to have a chance to design an app or an algorithm or learn how the Internet works.

Battelle partners with Code.org (a non-profit computer science curriculum provider) to expand access to computer science and to increase the participation of women and underrepresented minorities.  We believe every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science.

Principals and school counselors play an essential role in bringing effective computer science education to more Ohio students. Join Battelle to learn ways to bring computer science to your school.

Here are the upcoming Computer Science Workshops for Administrators and School Counselors workshops. You must RSVP to participate.

I was in the 2017-2018 CS Discoveries Cohort and it was one of the most rewarding PD experiences I have ever had in education.

I love the curriculum but the new relationships I have formed with the other teachers in my subject area has been the greatest asset from this opportunity.
