Regional Organizations

In addition to the work taking place with the programs mentioned on the left, the following regional organizations are working to build upon and scale up STEM-education initiatives in the Northwest Ohio Region:

Challenger Learning Center
The Challenger Learning Center of Lucas County uses space as a theme for learning and provides experiences to raise student interest in math, science and technology. Their mission is to create scientifically-literate students. For more information, visit www.challengerlc.org.

Toledo Technology Academy
Toledo Technology Academy (TTA) is a public high school within Toledo Public Schools. With curriculum focused on manufacturing technology, TTA provides hands-on learning opportunities for students and involves local industry to prepare students for college or careers in the technical, engineering and manufacturing fields. TTA began as a two-year program and, in 1997, became a four-year high school with the help of partners from local technology and engineering industries.
