Regional Organizations

In addition to the work taking place with the schools and programs mentioned on the left, the following regional organizations are working to build upon and scale up STEM-education initiatives in the Northeast Ohio Region:

SMART Consortium
The SMART Consortium, representing more than 50 northeast Ohio school districts, provides professional development, curriculum development, leadership training and many other resources to improve science and mathematics learning. To learn more, visit www.smartconsortium.org.

The Cleveland Foundation
The Cleveland Foundation is the nation’s third largest community foundation serving the Greater Cleveland community including Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties. Their mission is “To enhance the lives of all residents of Greater Cleveland, now and for generations to come, by building community endowment, addressing needs through grant-making and providing leadership on key community issues.” To learn more, visit www.clevelandfoundation.org.

The George Gund Foundation
Created in 1952, The George Gund Foundation’s most basic goal is to advance human well-being and the progress of society. The foundation has five key programs in which it provides funding including arts, economic development and community revitalization, education, environment, and human services.
