Welcome to the Toolbox for Literacy Instruction!

BattelleEd’s Literacy Toolbox contains strategies you can use to help students build the skills they need to be college and career ready. Strategies target specific skills students need to be successful with literacy. We’ve sorted them into the following four categories which are aligned to the Literacy Design Collaborative skill clusters:

Preparing for the TaskReading ProcessTransition to WritingWriting Process

These skills and instruction connect to the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) template tasks and to the full Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) module. The LDC method is designed to help content area teachers build the literacy common core state standards into their content. To learn more about LDC or to sign up for a future training – click here.
