Dayton Early College Academy & Training Center

Dayton Early College Academy (DECA) is a non-traditional charter high school singularly focused on preparing first-generation urban students to go to college. DECA also serves as the region’s early college high school training center.

One hundred percent of DECA graduates go on to pursue higher education.

What distinguishes DECA from other urban high schools is the “we will go to college” mindset. Since the school’s inception in 2003, DECA students have:

  • earned over 5,000 college credit hours while in high school
  • earned $7.6 million in scholarships and grants
  • completed 30,340 volunteer service hours

An investment in our youth… an investment in our community.

As prospective first generation college graduates, DECA students have unlimited ambition and untapped potential. DECA is a pipeline not only to Ohio colleges but also to the Ohio professional workforce.
