Introduction to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Presentation with Optional NIHF-STEM School Tour

Interested in learning about Problem – Based Learning (PBL), but don’t know where to start? Provided by the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) – Akron Hub, the Introduction to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) presentation provides an introductory overview to PBL, and explores teaching methods and curricular design.

PBL design creates learning environments that develop critical thinkers and creative problem solvers excited about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This professional learning experience encourages educators to think critically and creatively and solve problems, while discovering PBL design elements using examples from the National Inventors Hall of Fame® School…Center for STEM Learning School. The experience connects PBL to the NIHF-STEM School design principles emphasizing teamwork, innovation, systems thinking and self-directed learning.
