How are Network partners identified?

The OSLN’s mantra: everyone is welcome. A broad, growing base of dynamic regional and state partners is required for long-term success.

To that end, the OSLN works hand-in-hand with Ohio’s leaders and experts in research, policy and practice. It recognizes the many talented professionals who have worked hard to design and deliver a standards- and accountability-based system that has propelled Ohio from the middle of the pack to 7th in the nation in overall education quality, according to Education Week’s Quality Counts 2008. From Regional Centers of Excellence, to the Ohio Mathematics and Science Coalition and the nationally recognized Ohio Resource Center, the state has worked to build a solid research, professional development and advocacy infrastructure to support mathematics and science education. Likewise, the Ohio Partnership for Continued Learning—in collaboration with regional P-16 councils, the University System of Ohio, the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Department of Education—is working to create a connected and seamless education system from Preschool through college and the workforce. These organizations are critical partners to the future work of the OSLN.
